I am challenged today.....
I don't know about you but sometimes I find it difficult to stay positive and motivated to work on goals especially when it feels like culture is constantly speaking the negative. You may have noticed that there are a lot of conversations increasingly about how hard life is or is going to be.
Have you had enough negative talk?...I have!
If you notice or search for them, there are some responding positively....but the national media is definitely not telling those stories.
Here's what makes the difference......You get what you focus on.
“Success is focusing the full power of all you are on what you have a burning desire to achieve.” -Wilfred PetersonYou can either think about how bad you have it and feel like a victim, or you can use these challenges as a reason to step up and grow from them.
Times are tough right now but there are people who are searching and are finding great opportunities.
There are also people who are in fear and are too paralyzed to take any action.
“The actions of men are the best interpreters of their thoughts.”What are you currently doing? Your decisions on how you will deal with current challenges will determine what your future challenges will be.
And remember this: Challenges always create opportunities, but you can only find them when you start to see the challenges as opportunities.
It may be hard to believe but the greater the challenge, the more we benefit from it.
So how can we actually take advantage of challenges instead of becoming victims of circumstances?
Here are some ideas that are helping me:
1. Educate yourself. For every problem, there IS a solution.
2. Search for possible solutions, develop a plan and excute.
3. Find people who can help you, people who've been through similar challenges. They can help you put things into perspective as well as provide inspiration.
4. Seek God!
go off by yourself.
Enter the silence. Bow in prayer.
Don't ask questions:
Wait for hope to appear.
Don't run from trouble. Take it full-face.
The "worst" is never the worst.
