RING THE BELLS

TODAY is the DAY! The much anticipated release of RING THE BELLS - Travis Cottrell's new Christmas CD!

We are very proud to release this project and can't wait for you to hear it! It is produced by Brown Bannister and features a duet with Natalie Grant on the title track.

We are getting unbelievable comments and response......it is #4 in the Holiday music category on iTunes right now!!
Here is a review comment from CCM magazine online:

If you buy just one holiday record this year, this is it. Ring the Bells is the perfect amalgamation of Cottrell’s artistic abilities and distinct call, which has an overwhelming effect on the listener. Some may call it goosebumps. –Andrew Greer
I am going to give 5 CDs away....all you have to do is leave your favorite Christmas memory here on the blog and I will then have a discerning panel of judges pick the winners:-)

Ok there is your challenge bring the best memories and tell all your friends about Ring The Bells!

The church I grew up in always had a Christmas program that was a "major production": the first half was a "family values-filled" play with Characters from the Victorian era (our city has a "Victorian Christmas" festival each year); the second half was basically the story of the life of Christ. In-between acts (so the adult choir could change costumes), the "monks" would visit. These were "silent monks" who "presented" the Hallelujah Chorus using large cue cards. For years, I was one of those monks...the one who played the part of the "toes". It always took lots of practice and brought out many laughs--and requests to "Please! Do it again next year!". I found a link with a video of someone else doing the same thing: http://fromupabove.wordpress.com/2007/11/29/silent-monks-hallelujah-chorus/
Enjoy!

My favorite Christmas memory is the year my sister and I surprised my mom and gave her a cocker spaniel for Christmas. We knew she was going to kill us so we put it in a gift box so when she opened the box, the puppy jumped in arms and started licking her face. She was smitten from that moment on. It was so much fun!!!

PS - I love me some Travis...almost as much as I love his wonderful wife.

In order to silence the annual cries of "Their presents are bigger than mine!" when each sibling examined the gifts under the Christmas tree each year,
My mother devised an intricate number code written in ink on the outside of each present to signify (to her only) who was the recipient. Unfortunately, on that fateful Christmas morn', Mom was unable to remember the code!
I'll never forget the look of utter horror on my brothers face as he eagerly lifted the lid of his gift box and spied a brand new dress for his Barby doll! Nor my sisters incredulous look of shock when she got a new army tank to lead the platoon! I can still hear the peals of laughter from Dad and I to this day. Truly, these memories warm this older brothers' heart!

Hey there- My favorite Christmas memory is When I was a little girl we always celebrated Christmas in the same way. We opened one gift on Christmas eve and one Christmas morning. One year I wanted this certain baby doll so much. She was a baby I could feed and give a bottle to, and then guess what she came with diapers so I could change her too!(Heaven only knows how many I would have to change in real life down the road)But it seemed so glam back then. I would dream about how much having her would change my life. And Guess what? That year when I was 10 years old I got that precious doll, I can still smell her:)Here's hoping I win... Rose

When my baby sister, Martha, was 5 years old, she fell, two days before Christmas, and fractured her leg into smithereens. I remember how sad I was that she would be in the hospital for Christmas. My parents took me to see her on Christmas Day. I remember exactly how she looked- her leg high in traction- but more I remember the mountain of Christmas presents all over her bed. I was jealous and cried. I wanted a broken leg. I wanted all those presents and all that attention. On the car ride home, in the dark of night, I looked up at the starry sky and cried out in my heart, because I really just wanted to feel loved and attended to. And then, in a moment, I felt the Lord whisper to me, " I am all the gift you need." Many years later, I acknowledge the receipt of the best Christmas gift I will ever receive- the love of my heavenly Father.
